CalcFence (calcfence.com) is a static calculator and content site with no user accounts, no logins, and no forms that collect personal information beyond what's described below. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have over it.

What We Collect

Server logs. Like almost any website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information with each request — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. This is standard infrastructure logging used for security and reliability, not for building a profile of individual visitors.

Optional analytics. We may use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand which pages and calculators are useful, such as aggregate visit counts and general geographic region. Where analytics are in use, we aim to avoid invasive tracking such as cross-site profiling or sale of individual browsing data.

Calculator inputs. The numbers you enter into a calculator (fence length, height, material, state, and so on) are processed in your browser to produce a result. We do not store, log, or associate calculator inputs with you individually.

Cookies

CalcFence may use a small number of cookies for basic site functionality and, where analytics are enabled, for aggregate usage measurement. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not prevent the calculators themselves from working, since they run locally in your browser.

Pages on CalcFence link to external sites — sources cited in our guides, suppliers, and reference material. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of any third-party site you reach through a link on CalcFence, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site before sharing information with it.

Affiliate Disclosure

Some links on CalcFence may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you make a purchase after clicking through, at no additional cost to you. This does not affect the calculations, formulas, or editorial content on the site.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over any personal data collected about you, including the right to know what's collected, to request deletion, to opt out of the sale of personal information, and to object to certain processing. Because CalcFence collects minimal personal data by design — no accounts, no calculator-input storage — most of these requests will have little or nothing tied to your identity to act on, but you're welcome to contact us with any request or question.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the site or its tools change. The effective date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
